"Great hotel, beds really comfy and staff very polite and helpful. Only downside was the room’s ceiling wallpaper was peeling off and just needs sprucing up but wouldn’t put me off going again "

"Great old fashioned hotel. We had a newly refurbished room was excellent. The breakfast was great. Pity the lift isn’t working I do think people should be made aware of this and all the building work that is going on. For some elderly people this is a main concern For the two nights we were there we had a great time and were made very welcome "

Abbie on reception took it upon herself to sort out the error and advised us to relax in the bar while she sorted it out. "A great property with leisure facilities and parking close to Durham (<10 minute drive or park and ride opposite carriageway) Room was lovely but surprised no air conditioning or fridge and it did get a little hot overnight "
