Millennium Mall

Millenium Mall which includes modern architecture

Embark on a shopping expedition to a futuristic-looking mall that's home to six stories of shops, boutiques, restaurants and a cinema.

Millennium Mall is an enormous shopping complex noted for its striking architecture with glass walls and columns that resemble upside-down tripods. The popular shopping center has six levels of shops and restaurants, a public plaza and a 12-story office building. Come here to shop, dine and watch community events and cultural activities.

Millennium Mall opened in 2008 and was designed by acclaimed architects Francisco Pimentel and Oscar Capiello. Before touring the stores and boutiques, look over the glassy exterior that resembles a long, narrow boat that’s been raised toward the sky.

Browse and shop for clothes, sporting goods, furniture, home accessories and cutting-edge technologies. There are local and national stores as well as international retailers and brands such as Timberland and Adidas. For details of special promotions and discounts, visit the mall’s website prior to your visit.

Break up your shopping expedition by watching a movie at the cinema. Dine in one of the restaurants or cafés that are dotted all over the mall. If you are in a hurry, choose from one of the numerous fast food outlets.

As you travel from store to store, note the geometrical forms featured in the building’s design such as cubes, pyramids and the triangular-shaped columns. Many of the walkways run around the internal sides of the mall, allowing for views across the shopping center.

Relax in Plaza Miranda, the large open space in front of the mall. Here, you may see street performers and occasionally, concerts and fairs.

Millennium Mall is open every day from late mornings until the early evening. On Sundays, it opens later and closes earlier. The mall is within a short walking distance of East Park and the Caracas Transport Museum and is well served by bus and subway routes. Free parking is available for more than 1,400 vehicles.
