Cozy Guest house located in the highly sought after Rattlesnake Neighborhood. Locals and others from afar love to visit this tranquil neighborhood which offers a great escape with so many vacation options. Please don't expect to see rattlesnakes, but perhaps deer and an occasional black bear! We fell in love with this property because of the history and location. This is a 100 year old estate that was one of the first houses in the middle Rattlesnake. The Guest house has its own little history! The family who lived here for 70 years operated a daycare and after-school service in the guest house which was converted to a cozy abode. There are many local residents who remember attending this little daycare which operated for nearly 40 years.
Today we love this location because of the nostalgic history and allure of the valley. In the summer enjoy the cool night breeze and the rustling leaves in the trees. You might even say you feel like you are in a tree house!
You can expect a cozy and updated experience with all the amenities of a home away from home. Sleep 5 comfortably in the beds provided. Use the full kitchen to cook your meals or escape to a local favorite restaurant! There are two bathrooms in the house, one is a full bath and the other is a 1/2 bath. There is also a cozy outdoor area for coffee in the morning or a fire in the fire pit!
Other reasons to pick this spot include the location to the University of Montana.
Walking distance to University of Montana (1.6 miles). Great access to hiking, mountain biking, Ten Spoon Winery, Rattlesnake Cafe, Rattlesnake Creek, Greenough Park, Pineview Park and just 5 minutes to downtown Missoula.
From our yard you might see Hang-gliders hovering around MT. Jumbo. The Rattlesnake is 32,000-acres of wilderness and 22,000-acres of national recreation on a city bus route.
