"I'd read on trip advisor that there was terrible food poisoning etc! Rubbish, they might have had a norovirus bug in the hotel but staff made every effort with sanitisers at meal times to eliminate this, although we never spoke to anyone who was affected. Food was lovely & varied, no complaints. I was here for my friends 60th, as I found it, all the staff I came across were amazing. Salvador in the main restaurant who works mornings & evenings was brilliant when we wanted to organise a cake we had to bring our own as hotel need 48hrs (for info), to supply one. He kept it cool for us & made sure staff brought it out at correct time. All rooms sea view & west facing so you get the sunset. My only downside is the entertainment at night, its very basic/boring, thats my only complaint, Riu liven the entertainment up! We may be middle aged but people love 'Good Music'."

"Cannot fault this hotel and its facilities. Staff were polite, professional and very helpful. House-keeping is excellent. All the rooms have sea view. We were upgraded from premium room to a massive suite. Balcony was superb with sofa and jacuzzi. Breakfast was standard. Dinner in the buffet restaurant was average. The 222 restaurant is highly overpriced and food below par hence cannot recommend it. The Pool Bar is okay for lunch but there are lots of nice places to eat about 7 - 10mins walk from the hotel. The bus stop (Patalavaca) is also about 7-8mins walk. Location is very good with access to the beach and boardwalk. Overall, highly recommend this hotel."

"We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. Kids were enjoying the swimming pool. The room was clean and big enough for 4 of us. The food was good. Everyday something new and different. We did enjoy our holiday 😊"

"All inclusive: We loved the garden patio outside our room. Location good. Just cross road to lift down and then 10 mins walk to beach via fun park, shops, mini golf and waterpark. Hotel is fine. Rooms are large and clean. View to opposite mountain is just grey stone featuring an abandoned half built derelict complex. But you get used to it. No sun much before 11.30 at hotel but plenty if you go down to beach or water park. Food is fine with enough choices for the week. Can recommend the sangria and Prosecco but not the white wine which is awful. Pool is nice with plenty of sun beds and pool bar serving free drinks and snacks. Can use gym in sister hotel opposite for free, which we did. Very relaxing week in glorious sunshine and pleasant resort "

"This was our seventh visit to this hotel and always feels like coming home. A relaxed holiday in wonderful surroundings. I had emailed requesting a certain room, which we had, so that was very much appreciated. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. A recent renovation of the restaurant makes this a lovely place to eat and relax. Food is varied, do miss the morning coffee service but thats a personal view. Jordi, one of the managers is fantastic and attentive. It's lovely that he recognises us each year and will spend time with you. It is a shame that despite this being our seventh visit, it was not recognised at reception when checking in. The receptionist asked us if we had ever been before and was surprised that we had! It wont stop us visiting next year, but would make the checking in experience more personal. The amadores area is lovely, quiet at this time of year as expected but you can take a short walk to Puerto Rico for more bars and restaurants. A lovely break for us and have already booked our eighth visit in June next year."
