Hot tub was broken. Pool was under construction (failed to mention as we were checking in) but you could still swim in the pool it was just covered in tarps!! First room we got was either taken/dirty! Luckily we didn’t walk in on anyone ! Second room was okay but this place hasn’t been updated since I was last here in 2007. Not to mention the fire alarm going off at 10pm !! What a night

Really nice hotel. the pool was crowded. under construction. had to ask the older kids to go down to deep end smacking others with pool noodles. they had no respect for the little ones in the shallow area. jumping in pool with inner tubes in shallow area.

Stoney Creek is a great place to stay and the only reason for a 4 on amenities was because the whirlpool was closed for maintenance.

Our room was not clean when we checked in so they downgraded us from our jacuzzi room to standard room for the night instead of cleaning the room. Next day we packed up our stuff when our new room was ready and moved into there. Excited that we'd finally have our jacuzzi because the hot tub was out of order.. to our surprise there was no hot water, had to shower in cold water and didn't get to enjoy our jacuzzi. They were going to move us again but didn't have another jacuzzi room available. It over all was not a great experience. I book this the week prior and was really looking forward to our stay. Ended up being very disappointed and don't plan on going back at all. I have no idea what was charged to me because they don't print receipts

Hotel was in a pretty good area and was pretty clean but could use some attention. The family ahead of me while checking in was told the room they booked didn't get cleaned that day and it would not be ready for them. The pool area was under construction and hot tube was closed. This was not disclosed to me at time of booking. The quality of the people staying at this hotel didn't make my family and I feel safe. The beds were uncomfortable and very out dated. We will not be returning to this hotel.

I am disappointed that no one called about the closing of the pool and hot tub. I reserved way ahead of my stay so I should have been called. There was kids running around even after being told to stop or parents would be called in the rooms. One of them bout knocked me down running and not paying attention. I am there all the time and not happy about the stay there this time.

Being a travel advisor, I sometimes like to stay at hotels in my area to assure that I am sending my clients to the best hotels in their budget. This is the first time that I have stayed at Stoney Creek Hotel. It was suggested to me by a family member. I booked a king room for 3 nights. Upon arrival I was informed that I would be getting a double due to the king rooms were booked. The lady at the front desk informed me that Expedia doesn’t check to see what is available and it was their fault. I agreed to a double room and checked in. She didn’t offer a king room when it became available. Once I was settled in the room, I noticed there wasn’t any hot water to take a shower. At first I thought it would be rectified the next day. Unfortunately it was not. I wasn’t able to take a hot shower at all that day. I only was able to take a lukewarm shower. I went to the front desk several times only to be told that the boiler wasn’t able to keep up with occupancy. This was very frustrating. Other things noted was the room was a little worn, meaning that the wallpaper was buckling in areas of the room. The tile in the elevator was a slight trip hazard as it was loose. The saloon wasn’t open during the stay which was another disappointment considering the football game was on and my husband and I had planned to go to the saloon and watch the game and enjoy cocktails. The lobby has a fireplace, however the lobby is very cold. Improvements are needed.

I had a few hiccups with it manager and staff made sure that all of my issues were taken care of and that I enjoyed my stay. I definitely recommend the Stony Creek inn to travelers and families that want to relax in a good atmosphere.
