"Professional and friendly staff, very quiet area and our sleep was perfect! Supermarket is next door. Walkable diatance to transoprt links- train and bus station to reach other cities aswell as exploring Citta Alta. The only downside was limited amount on international channels and no YouTube on TV."

"Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."

"Excellent position at the top of the town. Cozy apartment and even though the heat wasn't allowed to be on yet for the season, it was certainly bearable on chilly October days/nights. Some people might dislike the church bells ringing in such close proximity but that never bothered us during our stay. "We very rarely pay and upcharge for a room with a view since we generally just use our hotel room for sleeping. We are so glad we paid for a view. Our room looked out onto Lake Como with the Alps as a backdrop. Spectacular. The hotel is a short 10 minute drive down the hills to Bellagio. If you don't have a car they have a shuttle van that will take you back and forth. The rooms are very comfy and since we visited in February, the heated tile floors were a welcome amenity. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant on site that offers a buffet breakfast and dinner. The breakfast offerings are varied and the dinners we had were exceptional. We were only in the room for two nights but it was so relaxing and peaceful it felt like a week. "
