The Paterhaus - relaxation on the Eifelsteig

The Paterhaus is located on the eastern edge of Höfen, a district of Monschau, and is a 2-minute walk from Wildnistrail and Eifelsteig (end of stage 2 / beginning of stage 3). The historic old town of Monschau can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. The old farmhouse was extensively restored in 2018. Particular emphasis was placed on the interaction between historical building materials and modern building physics. So z. B. the wall heating in connection with the clay plaster for a comfortable living climate, the father house is very spacious with 150 square meters, and offers space for social gathering for 8 people. There is also plenty of space to escape the hustle and bustle and read a book. When the weather is nice, a sunny courtyard and the large garden invite you to relax undisturbed.

Beautiful authentic house in lovely village

We had a great weekend in Höfen, in a beautiful authentic house, well decorated and provided with everything we needed. Whereas Monschau is an attractive busy and touristic village Höfen is quiet and lovely with lots if beautiful houses in the middle of nature. Perfect combination!

Wonderful Stay

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay here. The property was spotless, perfectly equipped and just right for everything our group of 6 needed. We drove from the UK in two cars, both of which fitted amply on the private drive. We were staying here as it was only 40mins from the Spa-Francorchamps circuit and it was a perfect base to come home to after those long days at the track. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if we were heading to the Belgium GP again!

Sehr schönes Haus und tolle Gegend!

Wir waren mit 5 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern in dem schön hergerichteten Fachwerkhaus und haben es sehr genossen. Sehr schöne Gegend zum Wandern und durch das schöne Monschau schlendern. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett, das Haus sehr schön und auch der Hof mit Garten und Trampolin hat uns gut gefallen. Sauna und moderne große Bäder waren auch ein plus. Alles in Allem ein sehr gelungener Kurzurlaub!

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus in schöner Umgebung

Wir sind mit einer gemischten Gruppe (Familie und Freunde, 13 bis 92jährig) angereist. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich. Man kann sich problemlos im Haus aufhalten, wenn es draußen mal ungemütlich ist (Spielerunde am Esstisch, Fernsehabend im Wohnzimmer). Ein Ausflug nach Monschau und verschiedene Wanderungen/Radtouren (Heckenweg, Wildnistrail, Eifelsteig, Vennbahnradweg) bieten sich an. Durch die Wandheizung und den Putz herrscht ein angenehmes Raumklima. Das Erdgeschoss (ein Doppelzimmer) ist seniorengeeignet, die Treppe nach oben zu den drei anderen Zimmern ist es nicht. Wer ernsthaft kochen möchte, sollte evtl. noch eigene Hilfsmittel wie z.B. ein oder zwei Schneid- und Schälmesser und seine Gewürze einpacken. Für alltägliche Gerichte reicht die Ausstattung aber. Wir haben uns hier jedenfalls alle sehr wohl gefühlt.

Großer Wohlfühlfaktor im Paterhaus

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Kurzurlaub im Paterhaus mit unserer ganzen Familie verbracht! Das ganze Haus ist so liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet - tolle Betten für einen erholsamen Schlaf - wohltuende Sauna - und auch für die Kinder genügend Platz zum Spielen! Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und immer ansprechbar (sogar an den Feiertagen). Wir werden bestimmt noch einmal wiederkommen.

Ein perfekter Kurzurlaub

Wir können nur Gutes berichten. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, die Kommunikation hat hervorragend geklappt. Das Paterhaus ist ein altes, wunderschön und liebevoll renoviertes Haus, in dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, wir haben nichts vermisst. In den Betten schläft man ebenfalls sehr gut. Kurzum alles super!!! Monschau und Umgebung ist eine Reise wert, es gibt viel zu entdecken und ist sehr abwechslungsreich.

Das Haus ist sehr sauber, ruhig gelegen und sehr gemütlich.

Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und unkompliziert. Ich hätte es besser gefunden wenn man in der Beschreibung angegeben hätte, dass eines der 4 Schlafzimmer ein Durchgangszimmer ist. Sonst war alles bestens.

Wir (2Familien) hatten eine wunderbare Woche im Paterhaus. Für die Kinder war das große Grundstück ein Traum. Die sympathischen Gastgeber waren immer erreichbar. Das Haus ist wunderschön und sehr liebevoll ausgestattet. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben unsere Urlaubswoche in diesem sehr schönen Fachwerkhaus absolut genossen! Das Haus hat sehr viel Charme und ist unglaublich geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wir haben uns von Anfang an wohl gefühlt, zumal das Haus nicht nur sehr sauber, sondern auch sehr gut ausgestattet ist. Die Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von der Vermieterin Frau Roder machte alles perfekt und so kommen wir sehr gerne wieder!

Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen

Liebevoll gestaltetes Fachwerkhaus mit viel Geschmack und tollen Details. Mit 4 Doppelschlafzimmern, einem geräumigen Eßzimmer und einem gemütlichen Wohnzimmer ein perfektes Domizil für eine größere Gruppe, auch falls es einmal wegen schlechten Wetters nicht nach draußen gehen kann. Dazu kommen noch 2 moderne Bäder, eine kleine Sauna und ein Freisitz für ein langes Frühstück in der Morgensonne unter einer herrlichen Buche. Die Wanderwege der Eifel sind in unmittelbarer Nähe, so dass einem erholsamen Urlaub nichts im Wege steht. Alles in allem ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt!
