"The hotel is in an excellent location with good views over the rural landscape. The decorations are getting a little tired but it is still OK. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The one surprise that we had was that the only food on offer in the restaurant was local peasant food with no written menu available. "Stunning location and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Had some problems finding it as signs to Pousada were poor, and no directions available. Parking is limited at hotel, although there is sufficient within walking distance. Steep slopes and steps to hotel itself, with no vehicle access, so you will need to carry your luggage some distance, although staff were happy to help. Once in the hotel however, the rooms, restaurant and support were excellent. Well worth a visit for the view...

"This is a lovely small hotel to stay in the walled village. You can park right in front which is a huge plus. We booked a triple room and it was spacious. I think the others are on the small side. Everything was spotless! Comfy bed with soft sheets. Our room was cold and it turned out our heat didn't work, but there were balnkets in the closet and that did the trick. Had a bowl of the traditional tomato soup for dinner and it was hearty and delicious!"
