"Stayed for family vacation, 4 guests total (2 teens). More than enough space! The amenities were superb! The girls enjoyed the pool and basketball courts! My personal favorite…The views! Up early, nearly every morning taking in the views, while enjoying coffee, and quiet time 🙂 In the evening, beautiful sunsets! Btw, did I mention the views? Amazing!! "This cabin is very close to Savage Gulf, full of spectacular hiking. The shower is great with wonderful water pressure, plenty of hot water and a shower head placed high enough for tall people. Nice that there is a gas stove too. We were plenty warm on very chilly nights."

"Everyone in our family enjoyed our stay. We made the drive into Chattanooga to enjoy some area attractions. However, we always looked forward to enjoying our cabin at the end of the day. The kids loved the pool area and basketball courts. The adults enjoyed relaxing on the balcony or in the hot tube while soaking in the breathtaking views. We will definitely be back!"

It stated it had a really steep hiking trail that we didn't have time to check out. Wished I would have had one more day just to spend on the property. Wonderful experience!!"

"Fantastic service during a holiday rush. Everything was anticipated, something you don't find at this price point, from restocking towels at the pool to checking in our late arrival so things were smoother for us with the kids. Also, this is the best breakfast bar I've had at a hotel like this, including an iced coffee bar. Excellent all around."

Super Clean and Comfortable!

"This stay was our 3rd stay at this hotel. As always we were very pleased with our stay. The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly. And helpful. We stayed for 5 nights over Christmas. The hotel was decorated so nice! Breakfast was good, with eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, cereal, pastries, and yogurt. Our room and bathroom was spotless! We were so comfortable here and will always stay here when visiting family in Sewanee. It is about a 7 minute drive to the University of the South campus and you cannot beat the value you are getting for the price! We highly recommend!"

"I’ve stayed at this lodge twice, once in 2020 and now again in 2024. As someone who works for a 4-diamond hotel in downtown Chicago for the past 10 years, I’d like to offer my honest opinion. For what the property is both inside and out it’s a solid stay. The rooms are consistently clean, and I’ve never encountered any issues like trash etc... While the property might be a bit outdated, it’s important to keep in mind that you’re not staying in a high-rise hotel in Chicago or New York. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the parking is very convenient. The location, just off the expressway, is also ideal for easy access. I’d recommend this lodge to anyone, and I’ll definitely stay again in the future. A big thank you to the staff for making each stay pleasant. "
