In the basement of a beautiful house with breathtaking views of the Suisse Normande and the forest of Grimboscq, we offer a room for two people with independent access.
Halfway between Caen (city of William the Conqueror) and the tourist and sports center of Clécy. The greenway that runs along
the Orne is located two kilometers at the Brie Bridge. The GR 36 goes to our door. This situation is ideal for nature lovers and sportsmen. For lovers of
History Caen, Cliff and the landing beaches are not far.
The spacious and comfortable room is in new condition with view on the garden. Private bathroom equipped with a shower washbasin sanitary with bath towels provided.
Breakfast basket served at our table or on the panoramic terrace according to your desires and the weather! Supplement of 7 euros / person. Available for bicycles from an outdoor water point, basic tools and a secure garage. We practice this sport without moderation and will be happy to help you and transmit you our favorites.

Most enjoyable, very relaxing
Catherine and Jean-Luc were lovely hosts, they welcomed us warmly on our arrival. The accommodation in the basement of their home was very clean , the bed was very comfortable and had all that we needed. Although there is no kitchen, the microwave and fridge were available to us in the adjacent garage. The weather was superb and we were able to enjoy sitting in their lovely garden and enjoy the far reaching views. The location is very quiet which is exactly what we wanted. We had good communication with our hosts before our stay and the directions given were very accurate. Thank you Catherine and Jean-Luc, a most enjoyable stay.

We had a great time!
The garden is wonderful. We were in the middle of the nature. We had a wonderful view. And we could easily visit the invasion beach. The people from the house are very very friendly. So we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful Location
Ideal place if you want to cycle but if it rains you’ll still have loads to do as the property is within easy driving distance of Caens, Bayeaux and Rouen. Pegasus Bridge and the D Day landing beaches are all within easy reach and museums are very interesting. Only reason for 4 star on accuracy of listing is because it mentions that breakfast is available. Post Covid this isn’t available but this isn’t a big issue as you have your own fridge, microwave and kettle and owners Jean Luc and Catherine will go out of their way to make you welcome.

Superb!
I have been lucky enough to have travelled the world and met thousands of people along the way. I can honestly say that Catherine and Jean-Luc are right up there with the kindest, most thoughtful and helpful people I have met. Nothing was too much trouble. If my boyfriend and I were stuck for ideas what to do they showed us places to go. The room was spotless, the breakfasts delicious and you can eat outside on a balcony or inside if the weather is not so good. It is so quiet and peaceful too. We were sorry to leave and already planning our trip back! Thank you and well done Catherine and Jean-Luc for making our holiday even more special!

En transit... Bref séjour.
De passage pour une nuit, il est difficile d'évaluer et donner un avis sur l'hébergement. Il reste cependant très pratique pour le cas présent d'autant plus que nos hôtes sont accueillants et fort sympathiques.

We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. Er stond een lekker stuk cake. De kamer zag er keurig uit. De foto’s van de advertentie gaven ons wel een ander beeld. Het bed was prima. Misschien is het te overwegen om iets comfortabeler stoelen bij de tafel te zetten. De verhuurders waren zeer attent en reageerden positief op onze vragen. Er was een heerlijk terras buiten met een prachtig uitzicht. Jammer dat de buurman de rust verstoorde met grasmaaier maar daar kunnen de verhuurders niets aan doen. Een klein bordje langs de kant van de weg met de naam van het verblijf zou ook fijn zijn!

Prive gastenkamer op prachtige locatie!
Zeer prettig verblijf in keurige kamer. Het eigen zitje en n de tuin is geweldig, van het weidse uitzicht kregen we geen genoeg. Zeer aardige eigenaren die hun uiterste best deden het ons naar de zin te maken. Na een lange fietstocht keam de eigenaar vers gebakken cakejes brengen. Een geweldige plek, maar hou er rekening mee dat je met slecht weer alleen een klein tafeltje met 2 stoelen in de slaapkamer hebt.

Absolument parfait
Chambre au calme dans un écrin de verdure, nous avons pris nos petit-déjeuner dans le jardin, devant la vallée. Hôtes charmants qui s’organisent pour que nous soyons le plus autonomes possible. Pour les amoureux de sport nature, Jean-Luc est un vététiste passionné qui connaît tous les sentiers les plus sympas. Merci à vous deux pour votre gentillesse, nous gardons et donnons l’adresse!

Habitación separada de la casa, tranquila, sencilla, limpia y cómoda. Ubicación en plena “Suiza normanda: bien rodeada de praderas verdes y naturaleza.
