"Myself and three buddies spent a long weekend in the side of the hill. Everything we needed was there. House was clean and well appointed. Great fire pit though wood didn’t appear to be provided. A little issue locating property as GPS took me through a gated neighborhood. Once in the neighborhood I was being directed 1.5 miles down a Forrest road only to reach a gate. Avoid access through the Blue Ridge Club. Our stay was overall great!"

It was clean and well-stocked and having two toilets upstairs was nice. My husband and I (in our 60's) stayed in the basement in the bunk beds, a first, and we have never experienced a spiral staircase like that! Good hotel for the money

"We were very happy with our stay at the Blowing Rock Inn. We just stayed one night, but the room was clean, which is the most important thing. The woman at the front desk (although across the street) was nice and very helpful. The hotel itself is in a great location. We could walk to the downtown Blowing Rock area. We will definitely stay here again."

Best Western Mountain Lodge at Banner Elk

"My daughter and I stayed here in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene after being trapped in Banner Elk. Despite having no electricity, water, cell service, phone or internet the management, staff and everyone else there all came together as a community and worked together to do everything possible for each other and everyone there and to keep everyone's spirits high Despite all the tragedy and destruction. We will forever remember the smiling faces, kindness and support offered by the wonderful people here. May God bless you and yours. "

"In the middle of an absolute disaster in Boone, these employees went above and beyond they were helpful. They were pleasant the buildings clean they make sure people had with they needed. They actually provided a hot breakfast in the morning. It was really something to see this was a wonderful experience in a dire time."

"The overall property has some maintenance issues, but the room we had was updated and in great condition. The staff was excellent, particularly considering all their help during the hurricane and mountain flooding. They even fed us with some great soup when nothing else was open in Blowing Rock. "

"The beds were so comfortable. The bathroom was very roomy and the shower was good. Room was excellent. The breakfast food was not that good. Eggs were dry and tough, sausage was not that good. Pancakes were thin and lacked any flavor. The parking lot was horrible. A very steep driveway with lots of pot holes and bumps in it. "

"We really enjoyed our stay! The room was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The walls were a little thin and at times we could hear our neighbors conversations but no one was overly loud and it was not a problem at night. There is a great restaurant in the lodge which was a nice perk, and even better, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The whole feel of the lodge is really nice and the decor is great. My kids and I enjoyed sitting out front in the rocking chairs by the fire. We will definitely stay here again!"
