"Hide (owner) is such a kind and compassionate person. On arrival he gave us fruit and there were many snacks provided in the rooms. Many of the other days he would give us more fruit and then a lovely gift when we left. Every day he was so helpful in removing all the snow from our vehicle before we left for the ski fields. Hide is what makes this hotel such a pleasant place to stay. Thanks Hide, we loved staying with you!"

They might not speak English (but are they obligated to speak English? No!), but we found them very polite and sweet. Before you complained, check your manners. "Stayed in this hot spring hotel for 2 nights. The hotel location is great! The condition of this hotel is slightly out of date, the lift is quite small and old. The room itself is spacious. However, found that the light setting in the room can be improve (a bit dark for me). Hot spring's view on level 8 is beautiful! The buffet was great with plently of choice. "

"A really pleasant hotel close to lake Toya. The traditional Japanese room was excellent to experience and the onsen with its both indoor and outdoor baths were phenomenal. There were other amenities such as free bike rentals to take advantage of. "The outdoor onsen pool for kids to play is very good. However, we feel disappointed with the food. We had dinner at 6:30 (the last time slot offered by the hotel), at 6:50 some food already running out and no refill. I have visited Japan for many times and never seen this happens before. "It was a traditional Japanese room where you sleep on a futon on a tatami floor. The room was beautiful with a nice sitting balcony room that overlooked the side of the mountain. The only problem was the smell of the dust that gathered on or inside the tatami. We don't know whether this is normal and we just aren't used to sleeping in a tatami room."

"The room was beautiful, the onsen tubs were gorgeous and there were so many options for tubs. The dinner buffet was the best I've had at a hotel. My only disappoinment was trying to buy gifts from the shop onsite. I didn't realize they close at 11am. So with my hands full of items, they informed me the shop was closing. They did not offer to check me out or direct me to a register, just out of the shop. So I put all my items away and walked out, but I really wanted those items!"
