"Staff were friendly, the WiFi was good, the power shower was nice (when there was hot water) and, best of all, the only bar in town is just across the street. But the room needed a good clean, there was no bottled water or toilet paper and Silent Valley is far from silent. Bring earplugs."

"- Nice views, nice room, quiet, wonderful staff, delicious breakfasts. - the temp caretaker and his wife were wonderful and delicious breakfasts were provided. -- A more accurate location of the GH needs to be provided - it is on the lower slopes of the town's suburbs; thus, if you don't have a car, it's a very steep and sweaty 30 minute climb to the centre of Kodai and the lake. No taxis or buses nearby, no restaurants nearby either."

"Booked this property 3 days before my stay. The confirmation was confirmed I Flew from Delhi to Kochi and then drove 4 hours to the property. The property manager was nowhere to be found! VRBO WAS NO HELP AT ALL.! The automated message kept saying contact the property manager I want a full refund and need to be reimburse for my flight and drive to this scam property.! "We flipping loved Tall Trees, everything from the staff, restaurant, accommodation, location and surroundings. A global agency cocked up on our booking but the TTR team saved the day with the minimum of fuss and most amount of care. Would recommend to couples and families alike. "

"We recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Amberdale Hotel, and it was fantastic. The hotel offers several experiences for guests, including a morning short trek, a hike to a tea estate, and a visit to a nearby waterfall. We also loved the tea tasting, evening snacks, and the cozy night bonfire. Situated on a hilltop, our valley view room was breathtaking, showcasing beautiful tea plantations. The room was cool, cozy, and luxurious, with excellent amenities and a lovely walk-out balcony. The hotel also features a recreation area perfect for hanging out with friends. Additionally, the food was delicious, and the spa services were a nice touch (couldn't experience though). Overall, we had a wonderful stay, making it a great choice for everyone, especially couples. Highly recommend!"
