"The property is right on the lakeside and within easy walking distance from the centre of Vevey. The views lakeside are fantastic and change every day depending on the weather. It is a very relaxing place to stay. The bus runs along the main road at the main entrance side of the hotel and they are on time, frequent and there is a bus stop just less than a minutes walk away. Trains are close by too as are the paddle steamers. There is access through the hotel garden down to the promenade which runs all the way from La Tour-de-Peilz to Vevey. The hotel including the rooms are very clean and well looked after, perhaps not totally up to date and might need bringing up to date in places but that was not a problem and was really quite charming. For me the bed was very comfortable. There was no air conditioning in the room, just a fan. It was starting to get hot whilst we were there and we thought that opening the window would cause noise problems (we were roadside) but in the end we were fine. The breakfasts were good although a little bit of variation wouldn't go amis. The staff were extremely obliging and helpful except for the last morning when the young waitress in the dining room thought that it was a good idea to open the patio doors really wide which made the dining room very cold. A lot of people complained as there were a lot of elderly people there and eventually the problem was resolved. For us it was the perfect place to stay at that time. "

"Our family of four stayed In in Base Vevey for three nights and we really enjoyed it! We liked the clean room with modern design, functional kitchen, on-site self-laundry service and convenient location. The staff are super friendly. We wanted to say special "Thank You" to the staff on Christmas day for letting us use the cafeteria and microwave to heat food and eat our lunch after we already checked out in the morning while no restaurant was open. That was super helpful! We will definitely stay here if we come to visit Vevey again. Love it!"
