"We enjoyed our stay very much. It is one or two blocks to the bus stop, but is convenient to walk to Pontocho and shopping as well as Gion across the Kamo River. The Fresco grocery store was next door. The room had a nice kitchen and a spacious table for dining. The room was very large and even had a set of bunk beds which we didn’t need. The bed was firm but comfortable. It was in good a quiet location but close to many sites and to the bus system. "

"We had an excellent 6 night stay at the Royal Park. Our room was spacious, quiet and had a Japanese bathroom with separate shower and bath. Staff were helpful and polite. The bakery below the hotel was excellent for snacks and breakfasts. Location is fantastic - at the centre of the action and easy access to transport. Will happily return."

"This hotel was beautiful! The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. I loved the pajamas that were folded in our room. The public bath was nice - it was my first time trying a public bath but it was easy and comfortable with their clearly posted instructions and clean facilities. Our room was beautiful with high tech lighting and bathroom, and i used the soaker tub about 5 times because it was so comfortable. Konbini attached is also very convenient. will come again! "
