This home sits off hwy 176 in Newberry county, close to I26 and 7 mi from downtown. We offer a very comfortable, and very clean home fully stocked to cook a meal, grill a steak or roast a hot dog. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the cozy front porch. Take a nice country ride down 176 to Irmo or Columbia (aprox 30 mile). Or enjoy what Newberry offers with a few window front stores and some good food and antiques. Newberry opera house is a popular attraction and has some amazing shows. If you prefer the outdoors , just head out the door and in about 2 minutes you will be in the Sumter National Forest. We have lots of beautiful country roads with very little traffic, perfect for bike riding , 10 mile toward Pomaria , you can pick up the famous Palmetto Trail, great for hikers or bikers. We host many families here to visit their students at Newberry college. This is also a great home to rent if you just need to get off the road and enjoy a good nights sleep, or want to get out of the city and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Our check in is super easy. We live nearby if you need anything at all, yet we give you absolute privacy. All dogs must be approved, and you must crate them when left alone. No cats, my wife is extremely allergic, thank you.

This was a nice place that had everything we could have needed plus some. We have family in Irmo that we visited for the first time so we will definitely return to this property when we come to visit them again! The hosts were very responsive with any questions we had.

The place was perfect for us. Very cozy, we felt so comfortable. It had everything we needed and was on a quiet road. Very peaceful out there. But not too far from anything we might need in town. Byron was super responsive and helpful when I reached out with a question. We loved the front porch and relaxing in nature.

Two couples traveling took an overnight break in Newberry SC
We didn’t know what to expect of our mobile home experience, and we’re pleasantly surprised how comfortable we were. Very quiet and peaceful area in the country. We brought our own groceries as stores are not nearby. Kitchen had everything we need. Bathrooms were fine. Air conditioner worked and it was hot outside. Loved the hummingbird feeder and the birds put on quite a show for us! Great communication from the hosts. Much appreciated.

I enjoyed my overnight stay. The owners are generous. There was coffee and tea provided with sugar and creamer and four farm eggs in fridge for breakfast. The kitchen was well equipped. The property is in country so not easy to find a place for dinner. I ate at Bill and Frans which was just so so. I wished I had brought food to cook for myself. Comfortable, cozy place to stay. I often stop in the area on my way to Carolina coast. I hope I can stay here again.

Hootenanny onHudson Creek; SPECTACULAR
Beautiful property right near Helen Ga. Dana the owner was spectacular. We’ve stayed in many places in and around Helen but we have never received this level of service. If you are looking for a quaint place with all the modern amenities near Helen, the Hootenanny on Hudson Creek is THE ONE!! We will definitely be returning.
