Excellent and comfy....nice location. Poor phone signal if on the 02 network. Internet was great in public areas but poor in the room. Great comfy beds, and an excellent powerful shower. Stayed in the hotel itself. In the bigger King suite. Very comfortable bed, great view, breakfast was tasty, spotlessly clean. Could do with improvement but didn’t take away from our stay: floorboards from above creaked a bit (to be expected in a Manor House), no evening meals in restaurant. Would definitely stay again.

The location was the best part of our stay. The room was very spacious and we didn’t feel cramped at all. The shower/tub combo with a shower head was a bit odd in that it had a half enclosure of glass that did NOT keep the floors from getting wet every time we used it. I stayed for 3 nights in a small single room with a comfortable bed, but thin pillows, desk & chair, 32" TV on wall, but no a/c and in-room no safe. Good shower, but it is mounted too low on the wall if you're taller than 5'6". The free WiFi performed well. Poor cleaning - I found long hairs in the bathroom, and stepped on another person's toenail on the floor by the bed. The continental breakfast has a very limited selection (cereal, yogurt, bread/toast, marmalade/jam, pastries, only orange juice, tea & coffee) - the hot breakfast was very good, but costs extra if it isn't included in your room rate. This hotel's biggest asset is the polite, friendly and helpful staff. Note that the hotel has no lift, and there is no signal on the O2 network here. It is in a quiet location about 20 minutes walk to Newquay town centre.
