"The most amazing anniversary stay. We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is in an amazing location with a lot of hikes nearby. The hotel room we stayed in had a hot tub in and it was lovely to relax. We attended the spa as well which was gorgeous!"

"We have just returned from a beautiful weekend here. The whole experience from start to finish has been nothing but perfect. The garden view suite was stunning comfortable and relaxing and had everything you need. We dined at the grill in the evening which was delicious and the staff were so attentive. We visited the spa twice I loved how you could go whenever you wanted without needing to book. The infinity pool was lovely and relaxing! Breakfast was also delicious with lots of choice. We can't wait to return in the future. Thank you!"

"What a lovely hotel! Situated close to the beautiful town of Grasmere, and on the edge of the lake which was so picturesque you could sit and watch the view for hours - we did this whilst sipping a drink on the outside seating area. The spa was a perfect way to relax after a day of walking. We got the bus to walk the Fairfield Horseshoe but there are so many other walks to choose from (the bus stops are a fee meters away in either durection). In relation to the hotel it was clean, the rooms were lovely (we upgraded from the standard one) and the beds were comfy. The hotel staff were friendly and very attentive. There waa a great breakfasf choice and extra options were available to be cooked outside if the hot and cold buffet range. We had an evening meal which was also delicious. The only issue we had was I thought I had booked a 60 min spa treatment but in fact I hadn't. My fault but feel like the website could be updated and the email confirmation provide clearer timings i.e., the length of treatment and not just the start time as I would have realised my mistake. Appreciate this is a me problem, not them, so don't let this stop you from booking... I definitely recommend this hotel and will return myself sometime soon. "

"We met with family members at the hotel to celebrate an anniversary. The staff were extremely professional and welcoming. The hotel sits in impressive grounds, and the outlook from our mountain view hotel suite was 'picture postcard' attractive. There were also plenty of lounge areas to admire the views. The food offering was delicious and beautifully presented. In short, we really enjoyed our stay."

"The Crown and Mitre was very comfortable and was in a convenient location. The staff were very hospitable and professional. We enjoyed our dinner and especially our breakfast."

"Just enjoyed a lovely one night stay the hotel looks very bland from the outside but once you get indoor the decor is lovely. we paid £15 each to use the spa facilities definitely worth it we made good use of it during our stay my wife booked herself in for a massage. Room was very good lovely comfortable bed with all the amenities coffee machine, iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc. The only thing I would pull it on is the shower can become very slippy from the soap or shower gel. We didn’t have our evening meal in the restaurant but we did have breakfast plenty of choice from usual breakfast items to pancakes and pastries. Overall it was a lovely would definitely stay here again."
