Tatsunokuchi Onsen Matsusaki

4.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (28)
"Staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. Our room was comfy and the private onsen was a dream. Food was amazing-lots of local ingredients, which was great to try. I have seen some complaints about it not being super new, but I feel that's part of the charm of this place. Highly recommend! "

Tatsunokuchi Onsen Tagawa Ryusenkaku

3.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (16)
"My only complaint is that it was difficult to find (I recommend not bothering with trains/busses and just take a taxi. You’ll save yourself a lot of grief). Otherwise I have nothing but great things to say! It was quiet, clean, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. It’s a completely different experience compared to other types of accommodations and I highly recommend it to anyone even if only for one night! "

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Yamashiro Saichoraku

3.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (41)
"My family stayed here for 1 night. We got two rooms. Both rooms were huge with two double beds in each room. I estimate the rooms were 2-3 times the size of a typical Japanese hotel room. The rooms were very clean as was the entire resort building. The onsen experience was good (this is the entire reason you would stay here). There is an in-door and out-door soaking pool. The food selection at breakfast and dinner was good and tasty. As expected the food is primarily Japanese – sushi,...

APA Hotel Kanazawa Nishi

3.0 star property
7.0 out of 10, Good, (233)
"This hotel was dirty!! We were expecting old as we wanted to keep costs down and rayes were low. I have stayed in many APA hotels across Japan and they are fine. But this one was filthy. We had booked 4 nights but after one night cancelled and changed to another hotel. Beds were actually decent in condition (APA Kyoto had beds made out of cardboard) but mold and dust, dirty everywhere in room. Can’t recommend it here. Plenty of nice hotels in Kanazawa."

Houshi

3.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (87)
"Our experience was lovely! We stayed two nights. The staff was so accomodating--it was our first experience at a traditional ryokan, and the staff was very helpful in explaining various customs. They made us feel very at home. The free shuttle to and from the station was very convenient and easy to reserve. The check-in and check-out processes were easy and pleasant as well, with matcha and sweets provided at check-in as an opportunity to rest and look out on the garden. Our room was gorgeous,...
