Non Nuoc Beach

With warm, clear water and a jungle and mountain backdrop, this scenic beach with wonderful views is a great place to spend some time.

Non Nuoc Beach sweeps across 5 kilometres (3 miles) of Da Nang’s stunning coastline at the foot of the Marble Mountains. Relax on this beautiful white sandy expanse, flanked by a forest of casuarina trees. Then explore nearby caves and their ancient temples and stone statues.

If the temperature is too hot, rest under the shade of a tree and cool off in the sea. Non Nuoc is a popular surfing spot, so bring a board and get out on the water or just watch skilled surfers riding the waves. The beach is exposed and so the waves are fairly consistent here.

Enjoy freshly caught fish at one of the beachfront restaurants and sample the seaweed for which the area is known. Treat yourself to some pampering with a massage at one of the hotels on and near the beach. Other services at these resorts include tennis courts and handicraft shops.

Combine your beach visit with an excursion to the Marble Mountains, a short walk from the southern tip of Non Nuoc. Explore its caves, pagoda temples and Buddhist shrines.

Come back to Non Nuoc in the evening, and sit on one of the benches along the waterfront to take in the sunset views. Pitch a tent in the forest behind the beach and stay the night.

Non Nuoc Beach is approximately 10.5 kilometres (6.5 miles) from the city centre. It is just to the south of two of Da Nang’s other popular coastal destinations, My Khe Beach and My An Beach. Drive, take a taxi or arrive by bus.

Da Nang has a tropical monsoon climate, making Non Nuoc Beach popular all year-round. However, there are fewer opportunities to enjoy the sand and sea in the rainy season, particularly during October, the wettest month. If you like it hot, come in June, July and August when the temperatures reach their peak.
