Hotel is on the New Jersey boardwalk. Easy access to all the boardwalk has to offer. Parking was plentiful. Our room came with a full kitchen, living room and balcony. Bedroom had two full sized beds, beds were comfortable. Pull out couch in living room had seen better days. Balcony came with two Adirondack chairs and a small table, very comfortable. I would stay at this hotel again.

I booked the hotel, then went to check the reviews. For my surprise, the hotel room was fully renovated, EVERYTHING, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, freshly painted, perfect! The ac was a bit loud, my husband and son slept thru the noise, I am a light sleeper. Staff was very pleasant, there are rules to be followed for gym, pool, etc. so we need to follow them. Overall a 4.5

I paid for the room on Expedia and when I got there, I had to pay again. They fix that afterwards, but I checked in to the first room and there was bedbugs checked into the second room. I didn’t see any bedbugs but that night me and my family got bit by the bed bugs and left early The heavyset lady at the desk was rude and the old man had a bad attitude

Staff was really rude, it’s a non smoking facility and the room beside me was smoking cigars and MJ and I reported it to the staff, as I walked away I heard them talking about they arn’t doing anything people are gonna smoke if they want to. Multiple spots in the ceilings have water and mold damage. A lot of amenities are not available as advertised (ice machine, washing machine) I called and asked if breakfast is included as stated by the app to do so and was told they include 3 meals. We got to the resort to be told we can’t have that option because we ordered through Expedia.

Booked on Expedia due to mixed reviews. The hotel is a little old and dated, but the front desk & housekeeping were friendly. We stayed in family suite ocean front. It was spacious for a family of 5. The kids loved the indoor water slides, although open at 4pm I believe it was. All together, was a great stay.

They hadn’t finished cleaning our room when we checked in. Toilet unflushed, previous guest’s food in the fridge, tashcans with trash, no sheets on the beds. To their credit, they made it right. But still disappointing. Kitchen was very nice, TVs were tiny. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Great location right on the boardwalk with ocean views.

The beds were a nightmare!! That is the only issue I had with Montego Bay. I am not sure it is even a mattress with the wonderful staff, the clean property, room are nice layout the extra things such as toast and a hair dryer were all plus but that bed was the worst.

Discrimination

As it seemed to be that we were one of the only african american families at this establishment it felt very discriminatory. Was called these people multiple times. Treated differently then other people there who did not look like us.

We had to put our bed in the living room because it was too loud from the air conditioner in the bedroom sounded like it was going too blow up, had to go to the front desk to get our own toilet paper because the cleaning crew didnt give us any, Checking in there was no information on how far away our room was from the parking. what was the easiest and quickest way to get there with our luggage

It's quiet. However, the room smell like mildew and there is tons of mold in the bathroom walls and ceiling. Staff came to clean. However the mold is inside wall and vents. The beds are very old. The springs hurt your back when you sleep. I request to change room but there was non available.The hotel is right on the boardwalk and beachfront

We had a good time on our short trip. The room was bigger than expected and in newer condition, however there were issues with cleanliness. Particularly the thick dust on AC vents, the condition of the coffee pot, and your feet were black shortly after walking on the carpet. The hotel is very convenient in its location. The indoor pool was a bonus but we didn’t know the slides don’t open until 4pm weekdays. As other reviewers have shared, the elevator is painfully slow and sounds like it needs a tune-up. Overall, the room worked for our family. The view was the best part.

Never ever again

The hotel is dirty, one elevator wasn’t working took 45 minutes to take me luggage down not handicap friendly. To was unkept sheets and towels were like sand paper and they put us in a room next to drunk nasty foul women who had raunchy conversations in front of my 10 and 14 year old and when asked to watch their language they got hostile. Never ever again!

My family loved the waterslides and that it is on the boardwalk but not in the center so it is a little quieter. It wasn't the cleanest. We had a dirty washcloth hanging on outside chair and the silverware was gross. Everything else was clean. The pull out bed mattress was pretty yellowed and old and super uncomfortable. Don't bother trying to sleep on it.

Unfortunately the place has a lot to improve upon. Had to move rooms due to air conditioning issues. Kitchen did not have basic items you need to cook. Maid service only delivers towels. We had a 3 year old so could have used a vacuum. Couldn’t sit on beautiful deck on weekend due to smell of drugs now legal in NJ. Pools were dirty with sand and there are no outdoor shower areas. Elevator broke during our stay and they fixed promptly.

The property overlooks the Wildwood boardwalk and beach so the view from the balcony was exceptional. We were there at the end of the season which might explain why there is a lot of maintenance needed. The sliding doors to the balconies (for our room and another room our family members used) were in bad shape (roller wheels were barely functional). A family member was trapped on the balcony for a time. The towel racks in the bathroom were low quality and a family member fell when the rack came off the wall. The bathroom tile floor around the toilet was cracked and it was clear that the underlayment was deteriorating. A good addition to the room would be a simple information sheet, which might include information about the what TV channels and service provider the hotel uses. Luckily the staff was very responsive to requests for assistance.
