"Rooms were a bit dated, but adequate. Beds and bedding were comfortable. Showers need some faucet updating. Carpets in rooms and hallways need some deep cleaning. Card locks on all exterior doors are deactivated, but we otherwise had no security concerns as the location of the property is a bit remote. TV channel options were abundant. Parking was always available. Breakfast is the usual, but average to above average in taste/quality and staff were great. Front end staff were very helpful....

"Our stay at the Alonzo Ward Hotel was excellent. The room felt more like a comfy B&B than a hotel room. The beds were nice and the linens felt more like something I would have at home. During our stay, we ate at the Italian restaurant in the lobby area and also at the LaRue Cafe in the building. We enjoyed both and plan to eat at each again when we return to Aberdeen. "

"Really enjoyed our stay. Although it was a short stop on a roadtrip home it was a comfortable place to spemd 2 nights. Dog friendly is a must for us on our travels so this fit the bill. Had all the amenities we needed and more. The beach is a blast. Our kiddo had so much fun splashing the lake and playing in the sand. "
