We love HRHV and this was our 7th visit to this property. I was quite shocked at how different and unpleasant this visit was compared to all of our others including our visit prior which was just in April of 2024. Our room was in terrible condition. We have stayed in that exact room 3 other times and our 4th was a nightmare. The drawers on the dresser would not close. We called maintenance and no one would come. They kept rolling out and we would bang into them. We tried to tape them closed. Then our toilet stopped flushing...what a nightmare! We called and they said they were sending someone within 5-8 minutes and we needed to wait for them. 30 minutes later we called again. 20 minutes later we called again and said they had permission to come into our room, but that we had to leave then for a scheduled activity. We came back 4 hours later and it still wasn't fixed. My wife went to the front desk and the person said he saw all of our calls and that this was unacceptable. To go back to our room and someone would be right there. It took another 4 hours to get the issue resolved. It was miserable. The food quality has gone way done. The entertainment staff is all new and the activities were either boring or just outright cancelled. We didn't get any of our VIP benefits even when we asked. I am sad to say that I don't think we will be back. I also feel we deserve a refund for 1 night due to the maintenance issue, missing dinner, etc. They only offered a 25 minute massage.
