"The location and surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. If you are looking for time out, this is the place to stay, amazing. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. Menu options were good and prices not bad. Will definitely stay here again and bring family and friends. "I used to stay at Troutbeck back in the 60s as a child and this was a nostalgic trip for me. For the most part everything seemed to have been beautifully maintained with the top rooms having had an upgrade - all seemed brand new and the bed was soooo comfortable. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful and even gave us a free upgrade. I love that they honour Major “Mac”, who I remember well, as he developed the dam, pine forests, and the hotel, and gave support and upliftment to the local...
