"Just returned from an amazing weekend staying at the Ria Formosa. A short walk from the airport, ideal if you’re travelling light. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the Royal room, it went well above our expectations and the hot tub was lovely and clean. "We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Room is small but it did the job, bed sheets not the most comfortable but mattress good, shower nice and very clean. Faro is small so it’s within 5 minutes to everything. WiFi and tea available for free. Staff were lovely, when we got locked out at 2am she came with no complaint to come and let us in. "

"Perfect location with easy walking access to all. Theres a delicious inexpensive restaurant right across the street. Other restaurants you can walk to as well, and the town is perfect and not too crowded and overrun, like some of the other Algarve areas. The beach and Algar Seco are approx 10minutes walk away. "We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room for three which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, each member was friendly and ensured that our needs were met. "What an amazing place Vila Milreau is. Spotlessly clean, great, quiet pool area and really friendly owners. There’s a good little supermarket across the road, three really excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a small bar which can be found if you turn right at the church. If you need to get about Ubers are readily available and super cheap. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Fab 4 day trip. Really loved the freedom of self check in/keypad entry. Stayed on ground floor, Room 1. It was clean and spacious. Found the fridge very handy. On the top floor the pool area was spotless and very private. Would stay again. Highly recommend."

"This is not a hotel. The description on Expedia was very misleading. When we booked a deluxe room we thought it was a hotel but in actual fact it was a room in a shared apartment wihin a very private residential block. We arrived late evening and spent a few hours trying to locate the property as no directions had been given Several very kind locals tried to help us and we kept coming back to the door of what looked like a residential aparment with zero signage. "We had a very difficult check in. There was no one there, the phone number didn’t work. Finally one of the other guest said to just check the room doors and see which one was open and we found an open room with the key inside after waiting for about an hour."

Only a 10min walk to a very well stocked local supermarket and many excellent local restaurants in Olhos dÁgua. "Great hotel overall. We stayed a week in February in a room with ocean view. The room had a nice view and good size. Breakfast was delicious. Indoor pool was always warm and gym was well equipped. The spa is great too. The beach is one of the nicest in Portugal. While there are several restaurants nearby, there's not too much variation and food is relatively expensive. Would definitely stay again."

"We stayed for two nights. The hotel feels new and the rooms are spotless and spacious. Easy to walk a few blocks to the waterfront train station and historic center. Kitchen was well equipped. We were in top floor one bedroom with nice balcony sitting area and peek views of the water. A very comfortable stay. "
