"Emanuella was extremely helpful. Before we arrrived she sent me multiple what’s app notices on parking information and for our arrival. She was very nice and very helpful even with the dinner suggestions. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Close to all the sites. Would recommend it to everyone who is coming to Siracusa. "

"The Magnolia is an old fashioned B and B. The breakfast is very good. The bed was very comfortable. The people are very nice and helpful but minimum English spoken which makes things hard at times. Have your Google Translate ready. Downsides: there was no fridge, kettle, cups etc. to brew hot drinks in the room. Our toilet seat was loose and fell off completely on day 2. Bathroom is tiny - but there is always a generous supply of hot water for showers. The local "beach", although within...

"I did not enjoy this stay. Valet service was not great, neither was front reception. The stairwell, a huge feature in the middle of the hotel, is made of metal, making the entire property extremely hot. The room was a awkward configuration also."

"I LOVED this palazzo that is still owned by the son and his wife. It is pretty, charming, full of family antiques, with a beautiful courtyard below, sparkling lights and an art gallery. Very kind owners and staff. It is a BnB and not a hotel so you are on your own but absolutely lovely."

"Location is incredible. View from my beautiful room was great , walkable to everything in a wonderful little island , staff/owners nicest people and an elevator as a amazing extra ( not available in a lot of historic buildings) historical building is so cool to stay in as well"

"The room was ok, not very big but it had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a thing of nightmares. Horrible, intense stink coming out of the pipes. We weren’t able to use the bathroom. We notified the hotel but then they told us that this is an issue in the entire building and there is nothing that can be done about it. Very disappointing. "

"Excellent location in centre of Ortigia surrounded by beautiful architecture. Wide range of restaurants just outside and right next to Duomo Piazza. Despite this, no noise disturbance. Very well appointed and spotlessly clean room. The B&B staff were fantastic - so friendly and helpful and accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. "

"Incredibly helpful staff, especially when our flight was cancelled at the last moment and we needed to stay another 3 nights. They couldn't have been more helpful, even washing some clothes for us!"

"This is a room with a view (admittedly very nice) and not much more. No breakfast was available and the wifi didn't work when I arrived. They wanted to be paid in cash up front, but I said I wouldn't pay until the wifi was working. Also, the bed had a big lump in the middle. However, it was clean and the shower worked well. The fridge leaked occasionally. Parking is very difficult and expensive in that area."

"The outside of the building is not impressive. It looks quite old. However, the inside of the building was much better. The apartment was reconstructed: very modern and clean. Moreover, the bathroom was spacious. As for wi-fi, well...what can I say? The code was difficult to remember and it was connect. Therefore, not useful."

"This property is perfectly placed for sites and restaurants in Ortigia and close to the bridge to the main town of Syracuse. The manager is helpful and communicative. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. "

Loved it!

"Siracusa has been the highlight of our 10 days in Sicily so far and Algilà Ortigia was a great place to visit. Staff was friendly and several went out of their way to be helpful. We are good walkers and could walk to all parts of Ortigia, the island you want to stay on, and be there within 15 minutes. We had a junior suite that was large with several separate areas. Full service breakfast was good, not great. Bed was very big but not the most comfortable Despite these minor things, all four of us loved the hotel and location "

"The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing sites to see and places to eat. Since there’s limited driving in the area they try as much as possible to arrange parking and transportation. The room and hotel is very unique with art and architecture. They provided a great bottle of red wine for being a VIP on Expedia. They also provided free cocktails for us once during our stay and free drinks from the room refrigerator. Breakfast was delicious. The only con was that the shower was small but I guess that is typical with a historic building. The terraces overlooking the water were fantastic. Ortigia is one of best cities to see in Sicily and Henry’sHotel is the place to stay."
