This is cheeky because I didn't go there on this trip but I have on previous ones and I think it's superb, maybe even better than Pompei which can be very hot and crowded even though it's spectacular.

Just had a wonderful stay at The Splendide Royal. Beautiful hotel, room was superb and spotlessly clean and a great location. Staff were all very pleasant. The only downside was when we were checking out we was asked if we wanted to leave a tip for the staff which I felt rather uncomfortable with. I had already left a tip in the room.

All the staff were very helpful and attentive. We had a fantastic few nights. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Spa was excellent and worth every cent!
