"Honestly, this is my first time giving a review. I normally don't but this time i feel the need to do so. First of all, i booked a non-smoking room but the corridor to the rooms on First Floor has cigarette smoke all the time. I noticed the corridor is sprayed with some air freshener by the housekeeping staff early in the morning (they must have noticed the smell) but it'll be the same a few hours later. "This is my 6th stay at the HW. Its well priced hotel, good location close to ATM, Mall restaurants and most importantly the close to the harbour where ferries leave to go to the Mentawai islands. "

"Second time staying there - great staff, food, reasonable drink prices. Would recommend. It’s not a 5* place and there is one other nicer hotel in the area but this still deserves an excellent rating. "

"Stay here lot’s mainly due to location! It’s a pretty old hotel and the rooms need a renovating! Not enough non smoking rooms so it not alway possible to book a room. Breakfast could be a lot better! Need more variety of fruit, better coffee, better bread and real butter would be a good start "
