This 17th century château Les Pesquies, set in the middle of the breathtaking beauty of the wine country Languedoc-Roussillon, offers a stunning setting for large family groups, work training events, cycling and hiking groups. With it's 900 m2 there is room for up to 24 people.
The history of Les Pesquies goes back to before the revolution. After the revolution there was a "Noble" living at Les Pesquies who served in the army of King Louis XVlll and Charles X.
Today the Chateau is owned by a Dane, who grows the surrounding land with organic crops.
Les Pesquies and the region has a lot to offer. You can choose to spend the day at Les Pesquies enjoying the calm atmosphere and stunning nature.Have fun in the pool or relax in the park and enjoy the panoramic view of the pyrenees. If you wish, you can fish in the lake next to the chateau or play table tennis or basketball.
You can buy your food at one of the many local markets and prepare it either in the kitchen of the chateau, or in the summer kitchen next to the pool.Where you want to enjoy your meals is up to you, it's possible in the chateau, next to the pool or in front of the chateau.
On request a cook can create a delicate French meal for you served with exquisite locale wine. A wine tasting session can be arranged as well. The Danish owner will be more than happy to accommodate any request you may have.
You might want to explore the region with it's Cathar Castles, the medieval villages, the vibrancy of the traditional markets and the local fetes. The area is steeped in history and renowned for outstanding food and wine.
If you enjoy a more active vacation you can go high tree walking, do white water rafting, hike in the pyrenees or go for a bike ride in the hilly surrounding countryside on the chateau's mountain bikes.
Located between the historical town's of "La Ville Rose" of Toulouse and the world famous medieval fortified city of Carcassonne, (both 60 km) the property is of easy access via both of these airports with low cost flights arriving.
