"This was a lovely hotel in a great area! ALL of the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to the castle very easily and we were able to have a wonderful dinner on site after a long day of exploring. "

"Stayed at hotel for a random one night weekend family get away. I read the usual reviews prior to booking which was enough for me to take a chance. I must say, the hotel did not disapoint, the staff were friendly, hotel clean and the grounds were gorgeous. When you travel with children it can often feel like your in the way of other hotel guests, especially couples who are wanting that romantic trip away. What stood out for me was that we didnt feel in the way, maybe it was the size of the hotel, layout or just how it was ran but the staff and guests were all so nice, the children were welcomed and the pool area was the biggest hit! We originally booked a double family room but were offered an upgrade (for a 40 pound fee, to be paid on arrival) to a junior suite which we went for, the room was massive with a living room for kids to run around in and a super king bed however the 2nd bed was a sofa bed, the orginal booking had two double beds. I think next time we would probably go smaller and keep the double family room but use the extra money to pay for two nights. As I type im trying to think of areas for improvement but in all honesty nothing springs to mind right now, the kids were sad to leave so for me thats the biggest indicator of a decent hotel, no stressed parents and happy children. Were already thinking of re-booking for easter. "

"It was a great stay. But a couple of things about our king room which I found a bit weird, was weird….1. No window and 2. For a family room, no privacy for changing out the shower etc. a sliding door for the bathroom area would solve this. Comfy bed, can’t complain about anything else "

"The staff were amazing. Not only did we get a surprise upgrade but we were also able to check in early. Thank you Fatima. We were also given a few biscuit etc freebies by the night shift receptionist (I wish I knew her name). A really nice hotel with absolutely lovely staff"

"Sink plug got stuck down - had to seek help. Sink bowl extraordinarily deep - could bath a baby in it! "

"Although we only stayed for one night we were very impressed. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and given lots of information about not only the hotel but services we may be interested in round about. The hotel room was beautiful and very clean. We were at a concert at the usher hall just across the road so very handy for us. Breakfast was amazing! Such a great choice. We will definitely be back and hope to try the spa next time too. Thanks for a wonderful stay."
