"The staff were Brilliant. We were given what could be described as a standard room when we arrived. When we showed reception picture of room which was booked they changed room to room on picture immediately. It was mentioned that it should not have been advertised as a superior room. Hotel was perfect for a warm , quiet welcome after a day walking. Staff were fantastic. "

"The staff at the Boot and Shoe were lovely - they were friendly and helpful during our stay. The cooked breakfast was excellent. We had booked a table for dinner but unfortunately the table we’d been allocated wasn’t great so we dined elsewhere. The staff were really apologetic and gave us a complimentary round of drinks to make up for this. The room itself was fine. The bed was ok and the room was clean. "Nice room/ excellent shower. Good internet on phone and I- pad though tricky laptop. Nice breakfast . Only problem was when booking through 3rd party can’t use pool unless £15/person for 48 hour pass . Not much point when only there for 12 hours .No flexibility on this . Shame as left a bad taste to an otherwise good experience "
