But remember that you are in a resort- best to go out and do some local shopping to get a real feel for the area. Recommend guests to go out on the beach first light to see the fishing boats come in."

"Remember, this is not about a 5 star stay. This is a family home near the beach. Jimmy, his wife and his son Emile, offer a delightful, 'all we can do to help' environment. "A great heritage place to stay for a few days of exploring Alleppy, beaches and the backwaters, located across a local road by the massive beach. Hotel is a lovely well maintained old traditional building with a swimming pool and restaurant. Paid a bit more for a large traditional room with a large shared lounge and outside seating area next to the pool. Great restaurant and chef with a good menu choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner also serving alcohol. Guys in the restaurant very helpful...
