"The house is really great in all things. A bit off from the rest of the world, good place to take a time out. Perfect view, when the weather is good. Nice interior, very comfy and cosy, great for a small family. Wooden stove, so of you need the heating you have to make some wood, which was perfect for us. Nice huge garden. You can go directly for a small hike in the area. The owner and the neigbours are really nice. A few km to the next supermarche or boulangerie."

"we stayed there for a week, the house is beautiful on the outside (authentic) The large swimming pool is pleasant especially with those warm temperatures! Was also serviced twice during our stay by someone there on site. The house could use some freshening up on the inside, it was clean but in a French way 😉, especially the ants were annoying (they were even in our baguette 😱) Also nice and beautiful villages to visit nearby! La route qui borde le jardin est très peu passante donc on est vraiment au calme. Idéal pour des vacances en famille. Grande piscine idéale par fortes chaleurs. "This was a 1900 hotel with heaps of character. It had on-site parking, a restaurant which was full the first night so had to go elsewhere and very limited options. Was a basic room with a hand held shower over the bath. Enjoyed our short stay in the Parc setting allowing us to enjoy the surrounding area."

Better listing information needed.......

"We had booked this house, but after going to pick up the keys and seeing the property, decided that it was not suitable for our group. There was insufficient information on the site regarding the situation of the house - the map link was wrong and we had some difficulty finding the location (did not receive instructions from the host despite request). The house keeper requested several hundred Euro up front to cover cleaning fees, and bedding (not clearly stated on the information that bed linen and towels not provided), and a cheque to cover potential damage. This was not signalled at booking. The house set up meant that two rooms either had no easy access to a bathroom, or where loo paper had to be put in a bin (septic tank, I presume). This layout was also not clear from the listing. There were a number of things in the house that were flagged as broken that we should not use as they had been damaged by the previous renter. We were also told that we should only use the barbeque if we were prepared to pay a 100Euro fine if it was not considered to be adequately cleaned. The house sleeps 12, but access to the property up a steep single track, with no passing places and with limited space for parking at the house meant that it would be impossible to park and turn round three cars. This was also not obvious from the listing, and it would significantly help future renters to have better information on access clearly stated. "

A wonderful holiday

"The gite was very clean and comfortable, and everything was provided that we needed. The owner, Fabien, was very helpful, before and during the holiday, offering suggestions of places to visit and telling us about the history of the region.Great hospitality was shown to us. We appreciated our visits to both local and regional venues such as Nimes,Uzes, and the Cevennes National Park, and the pool was a great asset to us on very hot afternoons. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Merci Fabien."
