"The apartment complex is very new and on the extreme outskirts of a rapidly growing town. You will need a taxi to go anywhere The apartment is small and features some extremely uncomfortable beds. Final piece of advice, a visit to Hue is important from a historical point of view and the citadel and the all day DMZ tours are must do activities but Hue is NOT a charming town. Limit your time in Hue to a minimum and stay at the Melia Vinpearl hotel."

"Unfortunately the weather was not great during my stay here. And without good weather it decreases the fun pretty dramatically. It’s fairly isolated so that was a bit of a bummer. But the resort is beautiful. The staff was super friendly and the room was amazing! I had a private pool but never got a chance to use it which was a bummer. The restaurants were really good. "Great location to walkable Hue. Larger older 4star Vietnam hotel so the decor is older Chinese but they have newer rainhead shower in the tub/shower. Balcony did not have any chairs to sit. Friendly staff quick to respond to reset safe. Breakfast options good but seemed to alternate every 2 days and we stayed for 4 nights. "

"Had a wonderful stay here that we extended twice - we really enjoyed Hue, and this was an ideal location. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a very western-business aura. Lovely view of the river. Not tons of character but very well done all around. In our particular room, the mattresses seemed aging and weren't my favorite, but they were comfortable enough and again, very clean. The head of service, Van Duc, was helpful and so charming. He physically walked me and my mother to a pharmacy and helped us there in order to make sure my mom got what she needed, and was super knowledgeable about travel options with good prices on offer. He single handedly made this big fairly impersonal hotel feel welcoming and warm. And the food! A breakfast buffet that took about 5 minutes to do a lap around, with tons of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Western options including egg and noodle stations. Restaurant/lounge/in room dining super expensive though. All in all we loved our stay!"
