"The bathroom shower is extremely dirty - it looks like it has not been cleaned in months. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but the property is definitely older and not as well taken care of as it could be. Would not stay again."

Private Dock + Porch: Serene Lake Greenwood Escape

"We loved the property. The owner was so nice and helpful. We had a thank you note when we get there and he answered all my questions. The big screened in porch was so nice to sit and eat our meals and look at the lake. Superb!!!!!!!"
"I grew up in Greenwood so it was fun to this old hotel brought back to her former glory. We had a great stay and it was fun to be able to walk around in uptown. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly!"

"Exceeded expectations!Words don't do justice to the experience we enjoyed at "Water's Edge" - this lakehouse is AWESOME! The house is BIG (3 levels means lots of space for extended families). There is so much to do onsite (the dock, kayaks, basketball, ping pong, relaxing, grilling, TONS of board games and yard games too). And the location is great because it's on the same side as Greenwood proper (which means easy access to Publix, Chickfila, Outback, The Mall, and more). We enjoyed the dock most of all - just relaxing on the porch swing or chairs on the dock and floating in the water listening to some music was exactly what we were looking for. We also cooked family dinners at night, baked cookies, had Ping Pong Championships, caught a couple fish, and even had a 3-generation Monopoly game which was a blast. Watching a scary movie together was exciting. Outside the home we rented a boat from Skippers, hiked the Lake Greenwood State Park and isited the 96 Historical Site. In short, our family vacation was FANTASTIC and Water's Edge was a big reason why. The hosts Randy and Cathy were very responsive and friendly and I was amazed at how well stocked the property was - literally every thing we could have needed for our stay was already provided for us. Clearly Randy and Cathy care about the experience of their guests and their love of Waters Edge is evident. The keepsake coffee mug was an unexpected surprise! We look forward to staying at Water's Edge again! Thanks :)"
