"We loved this ocean cottage on the island of Moorea! Every day we saw 5-6 stingrays swim by, dolphin fins, and loved kayaking out to see the diversity of marine life only 100 yds out. The clarify of water by the reef was AMAZING! What a surprise for a coconut tree to be in the kitchen :-) LOVED the breezes except when neighbors fishing boat was anchored right out in front of cottage -- be prepared for strong fish odors!"

"Every other review is completely accurate. Amazing location, amazing amount of space, fantastic amenities for families (and family time). Our group was two families of four and everyone thought it was a fantastic vacation. We had a small issue one evening with one of the ACs not turning on, I messaged the host and 10 minutes later (late at night) he was there to show us how easy it was to fix (our ignorance...). "

"Very helpful and responsive via text or email. They were very accommodating towards are large group and let us arrive early which was amazing. Beautiful place right on the ocean and very convenient to grocery, restaurants and ferry. There isn’t much of a beach but easy access into water and very shallow. "This “luxury apartment” was just as advertised. It is a modern apartment with great accommodations. It has everything advertised. The only issue we had was knowing where to tell the immigration agents exactly where we were staying. We never actually got an address from the host. Having said that I may understand why. The “addresses” in Tahiti are not marked well if at all. It wasn’t too much of a hassle finding the place, but I am a fairly experienced navigator. We did however have a concierge...

"A lovely airy bungalow overlooking the lagoon with no other houses nearby. The bungalow was very well equipped including a pair of early rising roosters! The track to the house is a bit rough so better in a 4wd than a little rental car but otherwise a peaceful place to stay. Public beaches 10 minutes away in either direction and plenty of places to eat near by."

"The apartment is very functional with excellent layout and furnishings. The view is great. It is walkable to go down to the beach area, restaurants, park and markets. But I recommend taxi on the way back up the hill. There was minor issue with bed linens but easily fixable. We would definitely stay again."

We walked to the market about 10 min away. Taxi from the airport was about $25 and 15 min. "Cooks Bay Resort was spectacular. Our family of 5 stayed 8 nights in early April and we had the best time. So new, clean, great service! The snorkeling in front of the hotel is wonderful, we saw a black tipped reef shark, sea turtle, octopus, eel, and just about every color fish imaginable. My kids used the hotel’s snorkel equipment every day. We loved the pool and comfortable cabanas (free). Le Cook is a really beautiful restaurant, we had dinner there 3 times, lunch twice, breakfast only once. Wish they had a breakfast buffet-pancakes/omelet bar/fruit. Pool bar food is expensive, so we ate at Le Cook for lunch because they were the same price but Le Cook has a kids menu. Our room had a gorgeous ocean view and we enjoyed the balcony every day. Perfect location. We had a rental car and loved driving around Moorea to explore/do excursions. We bought groceries for breakfast &snacks. Food truck across the street is great! Also found great restaurants nearby- our favorite was Tasty Moorea over by the Moorea Activities center on the other bay. We also had great dinners at the Hilton and Manava Resorts, we saw neat sea creatures from their bridges. Sofitel breakfast buffet!! We liked the restaurants across the street and next door to the Manava too. Best nearby public beach: Ta’ahiamanu- BEAUTIFUL white sand. Overall, we had a perfect stay at Cooks Bay Resort, we will definitely stay here again! (Avis car rentals are WAY more convenient to the ferry terminal, than Thrifty/Hertz)! "
