"This is a beautiful place to stay! The ocean is your view every morning for breakfast or yoga, the garden hammock provides the afternoon nap, and the pool works great for cocktails at dusk. Staff are competent and kind, the bungalows were simple and welcoming, and the menu offered lots of options. Lovely place for a family or couple. "

"The hotel is amazing! The stuff even better! All the property is surrounding with an amazing views, probably the must beautiful views in Costa Rica! Everything is closed by as bars, clubs, restaurants. The property owners are super nice and welcoming! If you look at the sky and see stars, it’s probably not enough to review this hotel! Gorgeous! "Makanas felt so homey and warm. Tyler and Mary were great hosts and helped us with anything we needed. The bungalows are so beautiful and clean. The beach is breath taking, private, and we got to watch sunsets every night. I do suggest renting an ATV to help you get around town. "

"Loved our room, garden and dipping pool. Just a short walk down the road to excellent surf and a great little restaurant to enjoy the sunsets. We had our room serviced once and Katie did an excellent job. Very happy with our stay here! "

"This place was absolutely wonderful and I don’t have one negative thing to say. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable. The grounds were lush and gorgeous. The water slide was super fun. The staff especially at the front desk and restaurant were kind, accommodating and very attentive. I travelled with 3 boys ages 12, 10 and 7. I would highly recommend this place in La Fortuna."

"The property itself had a nice view but there was garbage around the property. Walkway to property for pedestrians was a hanging bridge, if your scared of heights you’ll have to walk the long way around. The tile at the start of the bridge on the property side was slippery, myself & others almost fell. Was an okay experience overall. "
