"This hotel is the only one to stay in if you have to go to Puntarenas. The town is rundown and dirty with nothing to offer. However this hotel was a life saver! Nice pool and modern with on site restaurant and bar. Small rooms though but manageable. "

"It had a casino and was.next.to the beach. It attracts casino type crowds .breakfast was lousy and service poor. A smile would have helped. Ample parking which is a good thing as jaco is not safe."

"Stay was lovely however difficulty with leaving early in morning. Ordered early breakfast didn’t arrive and trying to access the electric gates as no one appeared to be on site we could not open them till staff arrived 20 mins later with a remote. It is lovely place to stay but would strongly recommend gate issue be resolved for safety reasons "

"Great location with walking to beach and “downtown” shopping area. The free breakfast options are healthy and tasty as are the options from the lunch and dinner menus. The staff are helpful and pleasant. The room was tended to each day- loved having the kitchen! Great shower. Jaco is a great place to have as home base to venture to other areas of the country. 👍"

"It offers spectacular views, good food, and polite customer service. It also has a good spa offering and an amazing yoga spot. You can see a lot of wild animals. The infinity pool is amazing and it offers an incredible view. "

"We travel to Jaco- South Beach hotel, have a wonderful time. Awesome just Awesome. The staff spoke English and shared their stories and experiences. Josh and Carlos and recommended hourse back riding and assisted in the booking. My husband, son and my daughter in law had a great time. What an amazing experience we had. We also traveled out and found Roots to River white water rafting- Oh my god we thought this trip couldn’t get any better-loved the team and WOW!!!Definitely would recommend-...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Calathea. The staff were very helpful and amazing. We stayed in the clean bird room, the bathroom was big and we had a nice balcony to ourselves. The only reason why I am giving a 5-star overall is because the breakfast was a bit bland. If the question is if I would stay at this property again, I definitely will! "

"Love how close it was from the National Park entrance. Great attention from the staff. Wifi was not working most of time. The first elevator did not look or feel very safe. Regarding the breakfast, it will be more convenient if the guests can have both coffee and juice, rather than one option per breakfast. "

"We arrived around 8:30 pm to check in after a 4 hour drive from airport. Restaurant was to be open til 10 pm. We got to our room and front desk called and said restaurant was going to close early because slow but would stay open if we went to eat right then. They stayed open to accommodate us. Food and service were excellent! "
