"This place is beautifully located. We had a hard time finding it due to it still operating under the previous name. Long beach out front with nearly no people. Saw a sloth, Macaws, parrots and vultures. The food and smoothies were excellent, the mahmahi to die for."

"WE loved the Backyard Hotel. We wanted a beachfront hotel that had local flavor and that is exactly what it was.We could just sit on the balcony and watch the waves. "Federico was the perfect host. The accommodations was very nice and clean and spa like.The surrounding area was amazing. Breakfast and dinner was available and was very good. Staff were nice and very helpful. Close to Tarcoles Bridge and Carrara National Park. Great opportunity to see birds and monkeys.I would highly recommend. Also the host went above and beyond to assist. I would definitely go back."
