Be prepared with Peso coins for the parking meter. The hotel should keep them to sale to you as it’s a huge inconvenience to have to go to the bank to get enough coins. It was a huge problem for me when I was there.

There is no parking on the property. You have to park on the street which is metered. You have to have coins to pay the meter. It does not take cards or paper money. Only coins. No one will give you coins but the bank. Therefore, the hotel should keep coins for you to buy so you can pay for parking.

I really enjoyed my stay at Playa Palms. Check in took minutes, rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly. The location is amazing. We walked to Walmart and bought a few essentials. It was a quick and easy walk, maybe 10 minutes. 5 Ave is a very quick walk but the hotel is very quiet and we were there over a weekend. There are boats tied up close to the beach, but you can still get in the water. The city works of Playa work very hard to keep the beach clean and clear of seaweed. I will be back!

Friendly staff. We liked the pool it was clean and well kept and decent size. Beach area is so so, hotel is right on the beach at least. Pricing was great. Hotel common spaces are small. Room size was adequate and comfortable.bed.

I rented what is call the penthouse & the view was beautiful it was right on the beach they offer breakfast for an additional charge which I liked the breakfast was good & they bring it to your room! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well as the night guard very sweet man! The only bad thing was that it didn’t have parking but they have meter parking outside.

We were supposed to go there day of hurricane. I have tried to call them more than ten times, but did not answer. Then someone pick up the phone next day, and said it is safe to come in-spite of government warning. They only cared about money, and they even didn’t refund us. Knowing we are overseas visitors they said we can come on another day. They also said, we can and if hurricane hit the hotel they will transfer us to another facility. Our hotel staff in Merida advised us not to go to Playa, and also same afternoon public bus transport was ceased.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were cute and clean. The balconies are relaxing. Beach is on one end, 5th avenue the other end. We can’t wait to come back and will definitely stay here!
