"I am very through when it comes to trips. If you are a solo traveler or even looking for a family vacation . This is a good place to stay. Pros: - The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. Even the workers fixing up the hotel. Easy to show you where to go if needed. - It is safe ! The resort is gated and there is security that checks cars and vans coming in and out. I saw a comment about someone losing money from their room. The resorts’ gate security checks employees belongings before leaving work. - Food choices are pretty good for all inclusive. They have an omelette bar in the mornings where you can pick your choice of fixings for the cook to make. So yummy !! - I did not book excursions prior to my trip because I felt I would get better deals at the resort and I did !! There are different companies at the resorts that offer many excursions. I went on the volcano sight seeing / hike with a mud bath . It was an experience I will never forget. - Souvenirs: The resort has amazing shops to buy souvenirs, however I love how the local merchants were allowed on the resort on the beach. You are able to negotiate prices with them. Some can be more aggressive to sell than others. Con’s: There’s no true nightlife at the resorts, except a mini club on the outskirts and the shows the resorts have a 9pm nightly. - BUGS ! I made sure to lock my screen door at night because the creatures come out at night. I still ended with a beetle in my room. Overall a good vacay spot "

"We had such an enjoyable experience here since the moment we arrived. The property was beautiful, the food/drinks in the restaurant were so amazing, our massage at the spa was great as well. I love the quick and easy private beach access. We swam in the pool and got to watch the monkeys play above us in the trees for about a hour. Transportation to town was quick and they were very accommodating. We originally had an excursion booked through trip advisor and decided to cancel it and book the same one through the hotel for about $100 more and we were so glad we did! It was basically a private tour and our tour guide was absolutely amazing."

"Pro: Great hotel right on the beach - literally the other side of the low hotel wall is the beach. You could not get closer. MANY, MANY great restaurants within 100yds of the hotel and easy walk, even at night. Flamingo and Tamarindo beach are very short drive, but you have a great beach and all amenities at this hotel. Good hotel to end a trip when you are leaving from LIR which is 1 hr drive away. This was our 2nd visit in 10 years and we would come again. Cons: A bit pricey, but not outrageous. Check out is noon and hard to change with this popular hotel. If you leave from LIR when flights leave at 6pm then you have a lot of time to spare, but hotel will hold suitcases after checkout and you can still enjoy the amenities."
