"Horrible beds, bed sheets filthy and gray looking,tiny pillows no bed comforters,I sleep in my side and during the nigth I could feel the metal things from the mattress hurting me...no hot water,terrible breakfast but worst of all my hotel room key opened up another room in a different floor!!! Since the elevator wasent working i had to take the stairs and ended up on another floor by mistake and i realized until I was inside someone elses room...but I opened it with my hotel room key!!!...

"Pleasantly surprised! Tucked away in La boquilla, ( not a very rich area) is a beautiful retreat. Cold room, stunning balconies and rooftop. Full kitchen. Only place to eat is next door, closes early. I used Rappi for other meals beach is long and swimable. The whole town come out in evening to play soccer it's a very lovely family town. We had a little issue with the water briefly, but it was quickly resolved and the owner/admin was very apologetic and understandably was out of their hands. "Truly, if you’re going to Cartagena, I HIGHLY recommend townhouse boutique hotel. There’s literally nowhere else I would consider staying. Unfortunately, due to weather we weren’t able to experience their sister hotel which also has raving reviews on here but hopefully I will be able to the next trip around. The staff here is literally incomparable to any other place I’ve stayed and I’m not just saying that to say it. So sad to leave, but excited to return to Cartagena and Townhouse for sure!!!...

"We enjoyed a short stay at Castillo Ines Maria. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts (which change daily) were delicious and filling. The hotel is small and away from the main tourist sights, so pleasingly quiet and peaceful at night. It is a short walk to the walled city/centro historico, but be aware it can be difficult to cross the busy arterial road which passes between the street the hotel is on and the walled city."
