"There are so many great things about AV Suites. The staff was great! Well trained but not robots. Very friendly and personable. They made us feel very welcome and really seem to take pride in the resort. First the views are incredible and stunning. Standing on the balcony of our room was amazing. We stayed for 9 days and the room was big enough for us. We didnt feel cramped up on the 1 day it rained. There are a few things I wish that I had known before we stayed there. "Great time, extremely friendly hospitable staff! The place itself is maybe for younger guests, loving partying and various musical pleasures. Just seconds from the beach itself, and a whole bouquet of different restaurants with excellent food. Luxurious access to guided snorkeling tours, etc. Bring mosquito repellants with you - these insects could bite around sunset and an hour or so after, if you would want to be on the porch. "Good location, just a few steps from the ocean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cafe Marco was a step above most of the food establishments, as was the Dawei Tea House, both linked to the hotel. Rooms were clean and modern. Only negative was that the advertised free parking was not free if you book through an on-line service, like Orbitz. "What a beautiful location. Right on the beach. Lots of chairs outside to just sit and take in the view of the mountains and islands out further in the water. The restaurant food is delicious. Lots of variety. Very reasonably priced. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of them. They're always ready to serve. The pool is wonderful and clean. A walk on the long beach will make you forget any worries. They keep the property clean and well maintained. I felt so happy and relaxed there! The owner and his wife are wonderful people. I felt more like I was visiting them at their home, than staying at a resort. I would have loved to stay there for a couple of weeks."
