Perfect anniversary getaway
We absolutely loved our stay. Waking every morning to the spectacular view was incredible. The home is lovely and so well cared for. Sheila couldn't have been a better hostess. Weather was not cooperative, and she made sure we were safe. Will we be back? Absolutely.

2023 Family Vacation
Beautiful, relaxing and excellent view! Enjoyed watching a pair of snow geese, Canadian geese, one duck, pelicans, and multiple boats, riverboats, tugs and sea scooters on the river! Trains were noisy, but didn’t mind too much. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of out vacation.

Beautiful property with everything we needed. Accurate description of property and easy communication with owner. Loved the trains and barge watching. Delicious restaurants within walking distance. Great Place to Stay
This is a wonderful place to stay. The home is set up well. It's comfortable and very welcoming. There are lots of places to sit. The kitchen is well equipped and has nice appliances. The owner is very nice and was excellent at communicating. The location is nice with the river right there, a bar/restaurant just down the street, and lots to do within 10-30 minutes of the house. Thank you for a great stay!!

Beautiful Home with spectacular views
This home has a wonderful enclosed front porch overlooking the Mississippi. We watched an eagle catch a fish right in front of us, and enjoyed the barge traffic going by. We also had spectacular sunrises while there. This home has PLENTY of room for a group. The only downside - the freight trains going through feet from the back of the home in the middle of the night blowing their horn. This woke us up at least 3 times a night.

Great House by the River
We thoroughly enjoyed our sta at the Whiskey Run Riverhouse. The house is very spacious with a great balcony overlooking the river. We enjoyed a few meals out there during our weekend stay. One night there was a live band at the Go Fish Marina Bar and Grill down the street, which we could hear from the balcony. Sheila was a very accommodating hostess. She was very responsive and helpful with our various requests. It all made for a great weekend stay. Definitely recommend!

Girls’ Weekend
My long-time college friend’s and I celebrated our collective birthdays over the weekend. It was the perfect house for us to catch up on 20 years of life and relax. Only downside are the loud trains from 11pm-6am. Bring some earplugs. Otherwise, very lovely home beautifuly decorated. Thanks for the hospitality, Sheila!

Hidden gem on the Mississippi River
If I could give this review 10 stars, I would! The house was perfect for our party of 5 adults on an extended girls weekend. Clean, well maintained, updated, and every bit as beautiful as the pictures. It felt like home. Very quiet neighborhood within walking distance to two wonderful bar & grills with great food and drink specials. House is close by to neighboring towns with shopping, wineries and a local brewery & distillery. Would also highly recommend the Tiki Tavern boat cruise rental which docks at the nearby Go Fish Marina Bar & Grill. Thank you, Shiela! Everything was perfect!

Awesome time here.
Five HS friends enjoyed this lovely home for our 26th annual Girls’ Trip! The property was clean, comfortable, & nicely decorated. It was supplied with all paper products, kitchen necessities, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, & kitchen soaps. Top of the line appliances. Sheila was very quick to respond to any questions & very pleasant. She texted a list of many places to dine. We enjoyed Go Fish in Princeton and Biaggi’s Italian Ristorante in Davenport. Location across the street from the Mississippi River was beautiful & we enjoyed the barge traffic, a fishing contest, pelicans & geese. The train running behind the house was really no distraction. Steep steps lead to the 3rd level. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely wonderful! Our new favorite VRBO house
This house fit our group wonderfully. Plenty of beds and sitting spaces. It was so nice when some were working remote, someone was studying, someone was watching tv and someone else was reading. Everyone could find a place to be, but we could still all come together to play a game, watch a movie or enjoy dinner. The kitchen had everything we needed as we cooked most of our meals there. Some reviews complained about the trains, but we're from a railroad family, so we didn't mind and in fact found the closeness rather fascinating. By the 3rd night we had gotten used to the train horns. We thoroughly enjoyed the river view. We walked the road several times. The various neighbors and community members we spoke to were all friendly. Sheila was very responsive to my questions as well. We will return as soon as we can find a clear date on everyone's calendars. This will be our new gathering house.
