We had a wonderful stay at Overo! All the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, the grounds is incredibly lush and filled with a spectacular array of plants, including giant bamboo and monstera, avocados, bananas and pineapples and a lovely array of tropical flowers. The two pools, one of which is quite large, are shared by only 8 cabanas so you often feel like it’s your own resort. The cabin was charming, well stocked and very clean and comfortable, with very good AC (though the house stays nice and cool under all the lush tree cover). A la carte Breakfasts are delivered to your cabin each morning and include fresh squeezed juices, hot milk for coffee, house made granola and other special touches.
The highlight of our stay, however, were the dinners in the beautifully designed restaurant. Each meal was unbelievably good and two of the three nights we were the only diners (despite the resort being fully booked). Every dish we had was a delight both visually and gastronomically. Service was impeccable, and extra care was taken to accommodate my husbands gluten allergy. We felt like we had a Michelin chef serving is or own private meal each night!
Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
