This hotel is rustic but charming. Tulum is very expensive to stay and to dine. But the Maya hotel offers some of the most affordable dining options within the property. It’s not very close to the more busy area of Tulum and that’s what I wanted. However, taxis are a rip off, so if you don’t have your own transportation it is a bit far and the roads and side walks of awful. But the hotel is very cool.

This was our second trip here. Our first time we stayed on the palms side and this time on the seaside suites side. The grounds are beautiful and there are food and drink options everywhere. Lots of gluten free food, very clean, and the staff is always eager to help. We were able to find a Bali bed every day. I never thought I’d go to the same place twice but we are already planning to come a third time.
