"The condition of the building is tired. All the sash windows had broken sash chords. The heating on a cold night was barely adequate - I got into a comfortable and clean bed to keep warm. Lovely towels on a heated towel rail made it a pleasure getting out of the shower. I was kept waiting 45 minutes for breakfast because the chef was not informed I was going to be there . "The room was very comfortable and homely. I was woken by a droning noise which on inspection was coming from either a boiler or air conditioning unit outside by the kitchen area. I put the tv on low to cover it and did go back to sleep. The check in was smooth and friendly. Unfortunately the heating wasn’t working but the site manager came over and discovered that the boiler wasn’t working so there was no hot water or heating. "Stayed for 2 nights as was visiting family in Coldwaltham. Delightful small pub just taken over by new crew. Warm welcome and brilliant staff. Clean & comfortable stay in a quaint local pub. Food was good as well."
