Beautiful small cottage, walkable to the beach
A very beautiful and traditional cottage with a lot of rustic charm and original features. We were lucky enough to hit some prime weather and the local beach, which was indeed very popular with the locals, is a few minutes walk away and not too busy. There is a Casino supermarket not too far away and some great bar/restaurants in the new complex at Port Haliguen which was walkable. Also, the Crêperie du Vieux Port is well worth a visit with great food, service and a beautiful garden.
The ability to park the car in front of the shed opposite was a godsend as there is not a huge amount of parking locally. We left the car there for the entire time and then just went out and about on our bikes which were then securely stored in the shed. It happened to be the Quiberon Triathlon when we were there (which we didn't know about!) which was entertaining to watch but did cause a few road closures etc.
There is no garden or courtyard but we embraced the weather by having pavement picnics!
The facilities are basic but perfectly adequate and in good order. I think a renovation would spoil a lot of the unique charm of this place! We had a comprehensive check-in and departure with the owner and had her number to call in case of any issues, though there were none!
