"The first time I stayed in this building was in 1985. Then and now the best aspect of staying in the hotel adjacent to the Shannon Airport is the convenience. I returned my rental car the night I stayed (before I flew out in the morning). The car rental company gave me a lift back to the hotel. In the morning, I just had to roll my suitcase out the door, across the parking lot and to departures. The hotel room was spacious, clean, and had room for all my bits and bobs in the bathroom. Considering it was at an airport, it was quiet. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. I searched a bit for plugs for my electronic devices, but managed to plug everything in. The bar had a welcoming atmosphere for dining, and as a solo woman traveler I was able to pick my seating location and was treated in a friendly and professional manner. The cost was much higher than 1985, of course, and probably double what I would've usually paid for a bed and breakfast close by. Considering my car rental had to be returned at 6am, I weighed the cost vs. the advantages, and chose to make the splurge. I still feel it was worth the cost. "

"Lovely welcoming hotel. Easy access to public transport and shopping area. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice big bright room with a large comfy bed and a well stocked Nespresso machine. The Rituals toiletries provided added to the luxury of the stay. Little extras in the room were pleasant additions, such as little box of chocolates, slippers & grooming kit to mention a few. Only issues were aesthetic, the lack of doors on the wardrobe and the bathroom could do with being updated. The lack of doors gave an unfinished look to an otherwise perfect room. The decor in the bathroom seemed a little dated. "

"This is a luxury hotel in downtown Limerick. The valet parking was extremely convenient and we were able to walk to a number of excellent restaurants as well as take a walk along the river. The staff was helpful and informative. The room was modern, quiet, and comfortable as well as very clean."

"Very friendly staff. We arrived early morning after an overnight flight. They were kind enough to find an available room and let us check-in by 9:30 for a much needed nap. Comfortable rooms, great location. Only downside is that the bathtubs are high sided making it a bit tricky to get in and out of for a shower."

"Our stay was phenomenal! Clay shooting and then a walk of the wooded, lovely, grounds. You stay in the actual castle! We had our best nights sleep here. The staff were over the top helpful."
