"Excellent option in PD for a small apartment. Stayed here three times now. Staff friendly. Close to the city centre but quiet and clean. This time we were sad that the resident cat was removed from the garden, it was friendly and made the place feel like home from home. The hot water supply could be a bit hotter. But overall it’s a great accommodation option with great people. And a really cute breakfast basket delivered each day."

"The quality and size of the “apartments” (they’re basically houses, it’s great) is phenomenal for the price. To have a private back deck, many air conditioners, a kitchen, a nice bathroom, FOUR sets of sliding doors.. it was great. Friendly cats run the grounds, par for the course in Europe. "We loved this house. Location was rural but only 10 mins to Ponta Delgada. The views across the cornfield to the ocean....amazing. The kithen was well-equipped with everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. Our host was quick to respond with any queries. "Enjoyed our stay at Villa Maria 2. The attention to detail in construction, upkeep, furnishings and amenities was greatly appreciated. Having a startup supply of food soaps and paper products was a pleasant surprise. The hospitality and trip suggestions from Sergio was such a bonus. "This is a very convenient location on the island for the following reasons. When staying at other hotels in the tourist areas such as furnas/ sete cidades you have to drive up steep roads daily to traverse in/out of your hotels city. That can take hours of your day away and depending on time of day (night hours) or weather can be unsafe having to commute such steep terrain. This hotel is located conveniently in the middle of the island, away from the main city so you can enjoy nature (15 min drive to Ponta Delgada). Staff was excellent, they provide you with a cellphone for your room which they communicate with for reservations/ attraction ideas to visit, any questions you might have. Beach is conveniently right there, myself and every guest i saw enter during my 1 week stay there all said “wow” when you walk in and take in the views at reception. I miss my stay there already. "
